Buy El Paso Adventures: Costumes, Candy, and Halloween Concoctions!

Boo! You’re in for a treat – and perhaps a few tricks – on this week’s episode of Buy El Paso Adventures! With Halloween almost here, we are taking you to three local businesses that are striving to help you make the costume of your dreams (or nightmares) and offering you the tastiest Halloween goodies.

Makeup can make or break your Halloween costume. So our first stop was Bomb Beauty Products, where we met the owner, Gloria Cadena. Bomb Beauty offers Halloween makeup services, from body paint to special effects, and sells costume accessories.

“Get creative and do it yourself,” Gloria said, encouraging everyone to try DIY costumes this year. “We can help achieve your costume goals and recommend products to use.”

Make an appointment today and send Bomb Beauty a picture of your costume idea to undergo your Halloween transformation.

Next, we visited The Red Door Vintage and met store owner Leticia Peña. In addition to its collection of oddities, vintage items and local vendors’ products, The Red Door Vintage offers a wide array of unique clothing and accessories you won’t see anyone else wearing on Halloween. Leticia specializes in film production and can help with anything from costumes to makeup.

“We can help you make something unique so you don’t look like everyone else,” she said.

Lastly, there’s always one house with the badge of honor for giving out the best candy and we want you to have a fighting chance at that title. So, we finished our adventure by speaking to Diego Tena at Big Boy Concessions. For Halloween, the store carries a wide assortment of delectable Mexican candies and has a unique specialty.

“Our store makes blue candy apples, and with the deep red of the apple, the finished product is a green color that is perfect to serve at any Halloween event,” Diego shared.

However you choose to celebrate Halloween, these local stores will ensure you are as frightening or as sweet as you’d like to be. Be safe and have fun this Halloween, and remember to Buy El Paso!
