Our first stop is T’s Nail Room, located at 6310 N. Mesa St. Owner and nail technician Tanya Lugo, known as T, worked for other nail salons until she decided to open her own business.
“I want all my clients to feel safe. I want to give them a safe and comfortable space to be themselves while providing them with a service,” Lugo explained. T’s Nail Room values and encourages genuine self-expression, highlighted through the salon’s welcoming environment and nail designs.
Lugo’s services include gel manicures, gel pedicures, acrylics, nail design, and more. To schedule an appointment at T’s Nail Room, call (915) 955-2671 or follow her on Instagram @ts_nail_room.
Our next stop will also help you look and feel your best! The Jinny Riddle Makeup Studio is in East El Paso at 1280 Hawkins Blvd. Jinny Riddle Makeup Studio is a full-service salon and academy that can address all your beauty needs and provides learning opportunities.
“Our support to LGBTQ+ businesses is something that is for everyone – no discrimination, making them feel valuable, as part of our community – and that way we all grow together,” said owner Jinny Riddle.
The Jinny Riddle Makeup Studio services include haircuts, barber services, updos, bridal hair and makeup, makeup, nails, and more. To schedule an appointment for all your self-care and beauty essentials, visit jinnyriddle.com.
Our last stop is a sweet surprise! Ixcacao, located in downtown El Paso at 914 N Mesa St., opened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite opening in a challenging time, the chocolaterie thrived. Ixcacao, co-owned by Caleb Campos and his partner Alex Luna, focuses on the delicate art of artisanal chocolate.
“Being a gay-owned business, it’s important to support our community and display that, regardless of your preference, you can own a business,” Campos said.
Ixcacao has a variety of services that expand outside of their artisanal chocolate, from personalized chocolate boxing, charcuterie boards, and lounging with a glass of wine.
To learn more about their services or to try their sweet treats, pay them a visit ixcacaoartisanalchocolate.com.
